APMERE AYERE TOWN CAMP FILM PROJECT

While Aboriginal town camp residents in the Northern Territory live on the fringes of society, through the medium of film they find a voice that transcends the confines and prejudices they face. This is a collection of stories of light and shade, comedy and drama. Raw, real and told from a unique point of view.
Nine short films shot, directed written or acted by Town Campers with the guidance of established filmmakers and made possible by Tangentyere Council.
